February 6th is National Wear Red day. Millions of Americans will be wearing red to show their support for women and fight against heart disease. To generate awareness and provide fund-raising opportunities, 10,000 companies over the past two years have participated in Wear Red Day events by allowing employees to pay $5 each to wear red and jeans to work.
The Utah Start! Heart Walk & Run is a 5K walk & run, a 1 Mile Survivor Route and a Happy Feet Kids Run that brings together companies and families to fight heart disease and stroke. Although you can register to walk or run as an individual, we recommend you join a team at your company or with your family. It provides friendly competition and a reason to get fit and train for the event. It also creates a reason to band together with your co-workers for a common cause.

Currently, more than 15 galas are slated to occur throughout California, Nevada and Utah for this year. Funds are raised through sponsorship, underwriting and in-kind donations, table and ticket sales, and auctions.
